CoolGames is the front-runner in the development, distribution and monetization of HTML5 games. We not only develop and distribute our own high quality casual games from within our in-house game studio, we also license and manage titles from third-party developers. Through our channels we reach millions of gamers each month.
BoosterMedia was founded in late 2009. In late 2016 we joined forces with Tingly Games and became what is now CoolGames. We have an ambitious and innovative team with over 50 colleagues from all over the world. Our headquarters and studio are located in the center of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and we have a satellite office in Tokyo, Japan.
Laurens is a passionate serial-entrepreneur on the crossroads between content and technology. As CEO Laurens is responsible for strategy, the games development roadmap, key partnerships and investor relations. Prior to founding BoosterMedia – now CoolGames, after successfully merging with Tingly Games in February of 2016 - he successfully co-founded two others companies active in the mobile entertainment space. Laurens is a regular speaker at conferences and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
At the direction of the CEO, as COO Titika manages CoolGames’ operational activities. Effectively, responsible for building business information & driving performance measures, constantly improving cross-company processes & communication, defining resources allocation & HR strategy, and heading the Content, Operations and Technology teams. Prior to joining CoolGames, Titika has worked in management roles within various industries, such as telecom (Ben, T-Mobile and Vodafone) and media (online director at G+J Media).
Berend is responsible for CoolGames’ Finance, Legal and HR activities. Before joining the company Berend was Country Head for Shared Services at Citigroup in the Netherlands and Financial Controller at the same bank. Previously he worked in corporate finance at OPG Group and for an M&A boutique. Berend holds a Master’s degree in business economics from the VU University in Amsterdam.
Robbert heads CoolGames’ day-to-day international business development activities and partner network. Robbert started his career in the mobile payments industry working at Netsize, a Gemalto company, where he was leading the Benelux business lines.
Ard is CoolGames’ Head of Studio, leading a team of highly talented game designers, developers and artists to develop our state-of-the-art HTML5 games. Before joining CoolGames, he founded and headed Tingly Games, which he successfully merged with BoosterMedia into CoolGames in February of 2016. Previously he was also Studio Director at GameHouse.
Dave Moreau trained as a journalist then started an entrepreneurial career that has seen him launch, grow and sell a number of businesses in various sectors. He's spent the last 14 years focusing on the mobile and digital sector and is involved in several exciting fast-growth companies as Chairman, investor, advisor and enthusiast.
Started 1983 in video games building Rushware GmbH in Germany as the first company which later became the Funsoft Group with 18 companies in 11 countries. Sold to THQ in 1997, then running THQ Germany and THQ Wireless. Foundation of mobile games publisher Mobile Scope in 2001, sale to In-Fusio in 2005. In 2008 COO of Eidos and later co-COO of acquiring Square Enix until retirement end 2014. Advising companies incl. board seats since 2006, e.g. Chairman of Chillingo, advisory board of Prime Sense and others. Actively involved in the VR/AR, streaming, broadcasting and mobile space.
Bernard is Co-Founder and General Partner at Truffle Capital, Paris, and a pioneer in the IT venture capital industry in France. He was co-founder of ABN Amro Capital France and successfully led over 30 IT investments, a majority of which were subsequently listed. Bernard has a strong entrepreneurial experience, having acquired a small French industrial company in 1992, restored it to profitability and sold it at a profit 18 months later. He is now Board member of Boostermedia, Equitime, Horizontal Software, Keyyo (Alternext: ALKEY), LeadMedia Group (Alternext: ALLMG), Momac, NetBooster (Alternext: ALNBT), NetMediaEurope, Populis, Utel, all Truffle Capital portfolio companies. Initiator and publisher of the Truffle 100 France and Truffle 100 Europe, the leading ranking of the top 100 French and European software vendors respectively. Bernard holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School (Paris) and an Executive Certificate from MIT.
Floris has been actively involved in startups since 1998. From 1998 to 2008 he was a co-founder and general partner at NeSBIC CTe Funds, EUR 210M value added venture capital funds having invested in 38 early stage technology companies in Europe and US. In 2000 he managed the NeSBIC CTe Fund offices in Silicon Valley, US. At the end of 2005 Floris co-founded Solid Ventures which invested in 10 Dutch technology companies, amongst which BoosterMedia. In 2014 he joined the team of henQ to create a new early stage technology fund, henQ III. Floris has also helped (create) numerous startups as business angel and coach, like Layar, Adgibbon and New Lemurs. Before starting in venture capital, Floris worked at Unisource, a pan-European telecommunications company, investment bank MeesPierson and consulting firm Andersson Elffers Felix.
Mark is a former Silicon Valley entrepreneur, having started three companies before “turning to the dark side” of venture capital. AKA the “RudeVC”, Mark has worked as a VC in France since 2001.
